Modular or Fitted?

Understanding modular and fitted bathroom furniture – do you know which one is right for your space?

The bathroom furniture market is thriving, with more style choices available than ever before, and it can be difficult to decide what kind of furniture is right for your space - especially when considering style, functionality, and budget.

Our furniture collection features an abundance of colours, textures and finishes, as well as both fitted and modular options. But the question is, should you go for modular or fitted? Let’s delve a little deeper into both options.

Modular Furniture
Modular furniture consists of individual units that can be fitted anywhere in your bathroom space and you can mix and match the units for a super personalised design!

Over the past five years, we have seen huge growth in the popularity of our modular furniture, with the flexibility they offer and the design-led possibilities likely contributing to this growth.

With our modular furniture ranges you can create a bathroom design that is truly bespoke by choosing a range of different units to suit your desired style. For example, you could opt for a classic basin unit and tall unit combination, like our Statement Matt Deep Blue range shown here, or you could join two basin units together with a single basin, or two basins on top, as shown in our Volta Oak bathroom. You can also place two tall units side by side to create the illusion of one large cupboard. The choice is yours!

The customisation options with these units helps you to create a totally unique design. You can add further personalisation by choosing from our wide range of sit-on wash bowls, or opt for a sit-in basin, and choose from a choice of worktops, as well as a range of handles in brushed brass, matt black, or chrome.

Modular furniture tends to give a more contemporary look and feel, and can be both wall hung and floor standing too!

Fitted Furniture
Fitted furniture is designed so that the units fit flush together, giving you the flexibility to choose any combination of units to fit perfectly into your desired space!

Our fitted furniture range is slim in size, starting with a depth of 218mm and above, making it a great space-saving addition to smaller bathrooms, as well as making a statement in larger bathrooms, as demonstrated by our Benita Matt Latte range here! If you want to make optimum use of your bathroom space, fitted furniture is a great option as they can also be wall hung too which also helps to create a feeling of more space!

As fitted furniture units are designed to seamlessly integrate with the dimensions of your bathroom space in one continuous run of furniture, with the washbowl and basin there too, you will have more available space in the rest of the room which can make it easier to plan where to place your bath, shower and heater.

You can also say goodbye to awkward spaces in your bathroom when you opt for fitted furniture, as tricky corners can be turned into useable, stylish storage space instead, meaning no space is wasted! They ’re also great at concealing pipework in your bathroom, helping you to achieve a neat, polished finish.

So Which Will It Be?
There are amazing benefits to both modular and fitted furniture, and dreamy styles to choose from in both categories, so now you know more it’s down to you! Will it be modular or fitted?
